The Work Is Not Done.
When you gave me the honor of serving as your State Representative in 2024, we hit the ground running. In just two years, we have delivered over $15 million in new scholarships for HBCU students through HOPE, stood against Trump and MAGA Republicans’ attacks on our seniors and nursing homes, and led community efforts to increase literacy rates in our district.
But the work is not done. Prices continue to rise, Trump and State House Republicans are trampling on our voting rights, and as a state, we still rank near the bottom in areas ranging from workforce development to gun safety.
As a Morehouse College graduate, Middle School Math teacher, successful nonprofit leader and community organizer, I've seen the transformative power of community efforts.
